Description

The DSK-INET daughter card brings high performance, simple internet connectivity to DSK based projects. Based on the latest Wiznet W5300 embedded internet controller, the DSK-INET removes the need for a software TCP/IP stack running in the DSP. An API based on standard Berkley Sockets functions using a minimal set of instructions integrate the W5300 seamlessly into the DSP/BIOS kernel with minimal processor intervention. Alternatively, the DSKINET will also support raw Ethernet packets allowing TCP/IP stack and protocol development.

Stackable operation means the DSK-INET can operate with other DSK daughter cards such as
multi-channel ADCs, DACs etc. Selectable memory mapping allows the DSK-INET to seamlessly co-exist with most DSK boards. Flexible interface options allow the user to map the DSK-INET into any available daughter card memory space and interrupt via jumpers.

The W5300 includes fully hardwired, marketproven TCP/IP stack and integrated Ethernet
MAC & PHY. Hardwired TCP/IP stack supports TCP, UDP, IPv4, ICMP, ARP, IGMP and PPPoE which has been proven in various applications for several years. 128Kbytes internal buffer is included for data transmission.

The DSKinet can be converted to Wi-Fi by use of the XG-580+ wireless router.
