The C30,
C31 and C32 devices are unique in the TMS320 range in that they do not
support JTAG (IEEE1149.1) debugging, using the MPSD standard instead.
Unfortunately, you will need a different emulator (or at least a different
emulation pod) for these devices than for all the other devices in the
TMS320 range.
The best emulator for these devices is the SPI530
intelligent pod which features an on-board control processor to boost
performance an alternative is are the XDS510PP
MPSD for users who need a portable solution.
The VC33 device is the latest addition to the C3x DSP family and the only
one to feature JTAG debugging. This device will work with most of the
emulators we sell.
