The C6000
family of high-performance DSPs is targeted at high-end data intensive
applications. Such applications tend to have large code sizes and require
high bandwidth on JTAG communications, particularly when using RTDX to
view data within the algorithm. For this reason the most important feature
for an emulator for these devices tends to be speed. With this in mind
we would recommend purchasing one of the high-speed PCI emulators.
The C6x1x devices and newer revisions of the C64xx range will also support
high-speed RTDX, offering data exchange rates of 2Mbits/sec. If you are
using one of these devices and high-speed data exchange is important to
you then you should also consider one of the new XDS560
emulators.
