  New Small Form Factor SDR Development Platform

Lyrtech have launched a new version of the SFF SDR Development Platform with the following changes compared to the original version.

  • Standard LYRIO connector allows easy connection of standard Lyrtech modules.
  • New data conversion module with selectable and programmable FPGA and 32 additional GPIO's.
  • RF modules, now fully shielded cover 200MHz to 1 GHz RF range.

Lyrtech small form factor (SFF) software-defined radio (SDR) development platforms address the special SDR needs of the military, public safety, and commercial markets.
They are designed around some of the latest DSP and FPGA technology—Lyrtech’s area of expertise—
as low-cost, off-the-shelf, integrated hardware and software development solutions.

Lyrtech’s SFF SDRs are seamlessly integrated to the Simulink model-based design environment, making it simple to develop applications and control/validate the different features of their systems in a graphical environment, where
programming specific processors is as easy as dragging IP blocks.

  SignalMaster Dual

The SignalMaster Dual cPCI development board is specifically designed to help develop and test DSP algorithms through its combination of FPGA and DSP devices. It comes with a complete board software development kit to reach development goals quickly and efficiently. With the SignalMaster Dual it is also possible to simultaneously design and test in a real-time environment through the board’s integration to the model-based design software tools for Simulink.

Twin Tunable RF Transceiver

The Twin Tunable RF Transceiver is a 19-inch rack-mount two-channel RF tunable analog frontend designed to match with Lyrtech advanced development platforms series. Covering tunable low-band (0.2–1 GHz) and/or high-band (1.6– 2.3 GHz) frequencies, and combined with the Lyrtech SignalMaster Dual/Quad DSP-FPGA based board and its ADACMaster III add-on module (high speed AD/DA card), it forms a complete and integrated hardware and software development solution for a wide range of software-defined radio applications.

Model-based design tutorial on You Tube

Lyrtech have created a new video/tutorial on their Model-based Design Software. This new video demonstration shows the powerful features of Lyrtech MBDK software, through the use of our new model-based image processing framework.

We hope this new video demonstration could be a powerful tool to showcase the SignalMaster Quad/Dual – RAVe combination solutions, as well as to simply demonstrate the model-based design approach for different types of application on Lyrtech advanced development platforms.

3L Diamond and Impulse Accelerator Technologies design software now supported by Lyrtech hardware

3L, a leading provider of multiprocessor design software and Impulse Accelerated Technologies Inc., creators of the CoDeveloper suite of C-to-FPGA design tools announced a new design flow that targets multiprocessor systems from signal processing specialist Lyrtech Inc.  By integrating the 3L Diamond multiprocessor tool suite and CoDeveloper, the design flow accelerates the creation, debug, verification and implementation of very complex applications that require multiprocessor performance.  Ease-of-use features enhance design productivity, and tight integration with Lyrtech hardware frees the designer from the platform architecture to focus effort on application optimization.

ADACSync multi-channel, GPS based clock generator

The ADACSync is specifically designed to help synchronize multichannel system clocks, such as when synchronizing several digitizer boards or daisy chaining ADACSyncs to yield more channels (by using its external input clock/reference). The ADACSync is also equipped of a GPS module, enabling the onboard VCxO to continuously match the GPS reference. The GPS position/time information is also available for DAQ applications.

RAVe RTM add-on-module

The RAVe module adds video in/out capabilities and is used in conjunction with the SignalMaster boards. It is integrated into SimuLink and is aimed at wireless applications or another example being lane departure.

The CameraLink module is a high speed LYRIO+ module that supports a bandwidth up to 2.39 Gbps.

VHS Memory add-on-module

The VHS memory module provides 2GB of SDRAM which allows you to record or playback at a maximum sampling rate from the carrier's board 8 channels. IT uses the daughtercard expansion site. It does have an FPGA on-board but is non-targetable. An API is provided to build a custom GUI.
