  ADAC250 High Speed Dual ADC/DAC FMC Module
The ADAC250 FPGA mezzanine card (FMC) is designed around the high-performance A/D and D/A conversion technology from Texas Instruments — it integrates one dual, 14-bit, 250 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADS62P59) and a dual, 16-bit, 1 GSPS digital-to-analog converter (DAC5682Z; also capable of a 2–4× interpolation mode). Combined with multiple clocks and synchronization modes, the ADAC250 is at its best in DSP applications such as Software Defined Radio (SDR), advanced telecommunications (MIMO systems, cognitive radios, beamformers, LTE, WiMAX), signal intelligence (SIGINT), radar, sonar, and medical imaging applications.

  FlexOFDM Demo for 2.5GHz MIMO WiMAX SFF SDR
A version of the current OFDM demo for MIMO ADSs (PHY layer) is currently being adapted to the MIMO WiMAX SFF SDR development platforms. The MBDK models will be part of ADP software rools release 4.1.0.

  Mini-ADACSync

The Mini-ADACSync is a small form factor, GPS-disciplined, precision, low-jitter reference clock generator featuring:

  • Four output reference clocks (Ref CLK Out, CLK0, CLK1, CLK2 (derived from the reference clock))
  • The possibility of an external or onboard reference clock (Ref CLK)
  • A high-precision GPS reference clock mode for GPS-disciplined reference clock applications

The Mini-ADACSync is designed specifically for Lyrtech’s Small Form Factor Software Defined Radio (SFF-SDR) development platforms. It is capable of synchronizing the RF, data conversion, and baseband processing sections of SFF SDR development platforms with a common GPS-disciplined, low-jitter clock reference.

  Cognitive Low-Band SFF SDR support
Software support for a second low-band RF module (RX mode only) on SFF SDR development platforms - useful for such applications as cognitive radio, when one channel inspects spectrum traffic while the other transceiver is used for real-time data communication.

  New Software tools and management system for BSDK and MBDK

Version 4.1.0. was released on the 15th February including support for Mini-ADACSync, cognitive low-band SFF SDR support and 1-to-4 GPIO-32 adapter. This includes a new licence management system that links MBDKs to one functional workstation, with discounts for additional workstations, and will require users to have an up-to-date software service licence.

Version 5.0.0. available in mid-Q2 will support BSDK for Perseus 601x and ADAC250 with full BSDK and MBDK support end of Q2.
