Ipera have recently launched new versions of their Pixel Xtream transcoding software and their Xtream hardware encoders at very attractive prices.

The Ipera Pixel Xtream® software is ideally suited to meet the challenges of repurposing and monetizing video content for new media platforms. It is high volume multi-format, filebased, on-demand video transcoding software that delivers best-in-class speed, throughput and video quality; 2010 price £2,495.

The Streaming option adds the ability to both ingest and stream out WMV network broadcast, WMV/Http push to server, and MPEG-2TS over UDP; 2010 price £995.

The MXF option adds the ability to ingest most MXF files and output MXF/Op1a files in DNxHD, JPEG2000, and MPEG-2 formats; 2010 price £335.

  Ipera Xtream Encoders

Xtream Encoder: an HD/SD live streaming encoder platform running Pixel Xtream, in flexible configurations supporting 2u and 3u enclosures, analog/SDI/streaming inputs, Xeon and i7 CPUs:

 Model L2200 for live SD streaming output is a 3u version with both SDI and analog capture cards, running a single quad-core Xeon X3330 CPU; 2010 price £4995.

Model L2400 for live HD streaming output is a 2u version with an SDI capture card, running a single quad-core i7-960 CPU, and includes MXF support; 2010 price £6250.

2u and 3u enclosures available for any configuration with no price differential (2u enclosures support a single capture card only, either analog or SD/HD-SDI)

MXF support is an option on Model L2200; 2010 price £335.

Model L2400 can optionally be configured as a 3u version with both SDI and analog capture cards; 2010 price £335.
