Description

GDD200 is an optimised elementary Maths Library for the C67xx family of floating point DSP's. It includes a number of optimised routines for calculating elementary algebraic and transcendental functions, giving the user standard C library functionality together with some additional mathematical functions that are commonly used in DSP.

The library functions fully exploit the parallel architecture and hardware floating point arithmetic capabilities of the C67xx DSP family and have been hand-coded and algorithmically optimised at assembly level to obtain the maximum possible performance. In some cases performance could be 10 times faster than that of the corresponding C functions. Usually the library functions give between 30% and 300% performance gain.

The functions provide the maximum possible accuracy achievable in single precision arithmetic (32-bits IEEE-754 floating-point numbers) with most functions accurate to all decimal places, giving a relative error of less than 1 ULP (-140dB).
