DM6446 EVM (board only) Spectrum Digital are now selling the TMS 320DM6446 (DaVinci) EVM board direct. The part number is 702040. The EVM kit will include only the EVM, power supply, serial cable and ethernet cable. IgnitionPro Evaluation Kit The IgnitionPro Evaluation Kit consists of a DaVinci based processing module and a motherboard with peripheral connectors for interfacing to the outside world, plus DVR and Web Page Server example applications. The motherboard provides interfaces for composite video in and out, stereo audio in and out, remote control, ethernet, serial port, hard drive and compact flash. Developers can easily create their own peripheral board. The processing module is a production board or can be licensed for customers to build themselves. Visit IgnitionPro for further information. DVPB DaVinci Prototyping Board
The DaVinci prototyping board is a small form factor board and is ideal for prototyping applications based on DaVinci technology. The board is targeted for applications like Smart Surveillance Camera, Video Servers, Video Conference Systems and other Streaming Media applications. DVPB is bundled with a software package consisting U-Boot Bootloader, test utilities and demo applications enabling developers to develop and prototype applications based on DaVinci technology. The software package also consists of a Surveillance System demo application based on H.264/MPEG4 video compression streaming live media using RTP /RTSP. IPNetCam Smart IP Surveillance Camera Reference Design
Based on TMS 320DM6446 platform IPNetCam is a ready-to-go solution, fully enabled for Intelligent Surveillance Applications with features like Object Detection, Classification and Tracking. It offers manufacturers a complete hardware and software package needed to quickly and easily design Smart IP Surveillance Solutions with a variety of advanced features. The camera hardware is optimised for BOM and features all the necessary interfaces. The software is compliant to DaVinci XDM Framework. EASEE Application Level Framework
EASEE from Ateme, provides a multimedia framework based on G-Streamer that significantly shortens application development cycles. Currently, source code licences are available FREE OF CHARGE with Ateme MPEG4 or H.264 encoders. Available EASEE filters currently include G-Streamer Core, A/V Capture, MPEG-4 Encoding Filter, H.264 Encoding Filter, MP4, AVI, TCP /IP and UDP (not streaming library – needs to be purchased separately), MPEG-1 Layer 2 Encoding Filter and Resizer. DSP Libraries for DaVinci
Kane Computing Ltd has signed an agreement with IntegrIT to market their highly optimised DSP Libraries, world-wide. Libraries include NatureDSP Math Library, NatureDSP Signal library which is a collection of signal processing routines needed for implementation of typical algorithms for voice/audio processing ; NatureDSP 4FSK , a software data pump for 4FSK/C4FM data transmission over UHF channels and NatureDSP Squelch+ a software package providing sub-audio signaling functions for FRS , PMR446 and analogue radios.

New TMS 320DM647 and DM648 DSPs Texas Instruments have recently announced two new DaVinci platform DSPs for multi-channel video security and infrastructure applications, which are claimed to double system performance while reducing total bill of materials cost. The TMS 320DM647 and TMS 320DM648 DSPs provide a seamless migration path for existing video processing applications based on the TMS 320DM642 processor.
