OMAP35x Application Processors and EVM

The OMAP35x processors deliver breakthrough laptop levels of performance at handheld power levels for smart, low power electronic products. These applications processors are the first on the market that are based on the powerful ARM® Cortex™-A7 core, and they offer four times the performance of current ARM9 devices.

TI has announced four new OMAP35x™ processors. The OMAP3503 processor, sampling today, includes an ARM Cortex-A8 core at 600MHz. The OMAP3515 processor adds an OpenGL® ES graphics engine. The OMAP3525 processor integrates a C64x+ DSP and video accelerator with DaVinci™ technology family. Finally, the OMAP3530 processor includes all of the features of the other three.

Begin your software development and evaluation today with the OMAP35x Evaluation Module (EVM). With an open development environment, the OMAP35x EVM enables you to use leading operating systems, such as Linux, Windows® CE, etc. A Linux Board Support Package (BSP) is included with the EVM. A Windows CE BSP will be available in the third quarter of 2008. Extensive support through the OMAP Developer Network allows you to speed development and bring your products to market faster while lowering development costs.

TMS320DM6467 Digital Media Processors

The TMS320DM6467 processor not only includes ARM and DSP cores, it also has high-definition video/imaging co-processors with dedicate accelerators for high definition transcoding; a video data conversion engine that handles downscaling, chroma sampling and menu overlay functions; and PCI bus and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity peripherals. The corresponding digital video evaluation module also includes new transcoders such as MPEG-2 to H.264.

The DM6467 DVEVM includes the EVM board, 40GB hard disk drive, IR remote, TI eXpressDSP Linux based DVSDK and MontaVista Pro-demonstration tools.

The C2000 XDS510LC USB JTAG Emulator is a new low cost JTAG Emulator focused on development with the C2000 platform for Texas Instruments Digital Signal Controllers. The C2000 XDS510LC will only support devices in the C2000 family.

TFT-LCD Video Input/Output Module/Daughtercard

TFT-LCD

The TFT-LCD Video Module (VM3224K2) is a video in/out hardware module, which provides developers with an easy-to-use and cost effective way to evaluate and develop video processing algorithm based on TSM320C6000™ DSP. The VM3224K2 acquires NTSC/PAL analogue video signal and displays digital video data on a TFT LCD display. The product is a plug-in for the Texas Instruments DSK. Since the VM3224K2 provides TI DSK standard daughtercard interface, the product is compatible with TI Starter Kit, DSP STAR Starter Kit and Third Party EVM boards.

Wi-Fi Interface for IPNetCam (IPNC)

IPNetCam

eInfoChips has developed a Wi-Fi daughtercard which can be interfaced with the IPNetCam CPU board through its SPI interface. The Wi-Fi daughtercard is placed inside the IPNC enclosure to provide Wi-Fi support. Antenna cable is connected from the Wi-Fi daughtercard to an external Antenna.
