PTU-D47: New Mid Range Weatherised Pan and Tilt Model

Directed Perception has released a new model PTU-D47 that provides integrated controller, single weatherized connector, side + top payload mounting, and payload capacity of 12 lbs. It is an ideal solution for a wide range of outdoor surveillance and communications applications due to its durability, small size, and precise positioning. It is derived from the proven PTU-D46 product line and is fully software compatible

ISM: Rugged, Low-Cost Inertial PTU Stabilisation

The ISM actively controls the PTU to compensate for boat/vehicle motion, keeping your point of interest always in the field-of-view. The ISM allows persistent line-of-sight pointing during large vehicle maneuvers, freeing the operator from tedious manual control. Inertial stabilization does not suffer from the same limitations as electronic video stabilization and allows for stabilization of all payload types.

The ISM is an advanced strap down design and consists of a precision 3-axis gyro embedded in the pan-tilt unit, and a small 3"x4" processing module. It works with existing pan-tilt applications to provide a drop-in solution for improving mobile camera and antenna applications. A software API is included to allow fast and simple integration with OEM applications. The API allows applications real-time control of the pan-tile during stabilization. This enables a wide range of application uses including joystick control, video tracking, radar integration, slew-to-queue and more. A built-in Ethernet interface and web server provide simple configuration and control of the module and attached pan-tilt unit.

PTU-D300: New Options and Features

The PTU-D300 Pan and Tilt Unit now has a number of new features and options.

  • Dual-side mount - allows mounting payloads on top and/or both sides
  • RF Pass Through – 360 continuous pan for antenna and communications applications
  • High-Speed Pan - 100 deg/second pan version.
  • Expanded Payload Wiring - expanded payload wiring pass-through
  • Modified motion ranges - alternate ranges of pan/tilt motion

New firmware is also available for the PTU-D300. This new firmware provides a unique and powerful "Electronic Gearing" capability that automatically changes between 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8th micro-stepping modes, providing for maximal torques and speeds, while giving the advantages of micro-stepping including smoothness and precision.

TroublePix: Digital Video Recording Software for Event Capture and Trouble Shooting Applications

StreamPix: Video Recording on Laptop at up to 200fps

StreamPix is now compatible with laptops requiring high frame rate cameras at up to 200 fps x 640 x 480.

  • Up to 200 fps at 640 x 480 x 8 bits monochrome uncompressed.

Pre/Post trigger module for multi camera acquisition using StreamPix 4

  • This module is available with either StreamPix 4 for multiple cameras acquisition or with TroublePix for single camera use.
  • The Pre/Post module allows you to capture sequences using a trigger based event on a before and after basis upon receipt of the trigger.
  • The module allows you to set the amount of time preceding receipt of the trigger and the amount of time after receipt of the trigger.
  • The module can be used when acquiring with a single or multiple cameras simultaneously.
  • Once the sequence is acquired and saved to disk, the system resets itself for arrival of the next trigger event.

VisionGauge: Now fully supports Windows Vista

Please note that the most up-to-date versions of both VisionGauge® and VisionGauge® OnLine fully support Windows Vista.

For specific information about upgrading your VisionGauge® and VisionGauge® OnLine computer to Windows Vista, we encourage you to consult FAQ #2.16 on VisionX Inc’s web site.

The latest version of VisionGauge® (V8.36) contains the following new enhancements:
