Description

The Model LR-F2812COM-x series of daughtercards provide a quick and easy way of adding two independent serial ports to the Spectrum Digital, Inc. F2812 eZdsp™ development system. Two basic versions are available: a standard RS-232 version and a fiber optic version for true galvanic isolation applications.

The ports operate at speeds of up to 921.6 kbps, and are connectored with female DB-9s. This allows direct connection to a PC using a straight-thru cable. The product comes complete with a 6’ RS-232 cable (the fiber optic version includes two 3 foot lengths of fiber), a set of connectors to be soldered into the eZdsp board, and a wide range of CCS software demonstration projects.

Applications include: F2812 eZdsp to PC communications, F2812 eZdsp to F2812 eZdsp communications, optically isolated control/status data channel between PC (or HMI) and DSP target, real time monitoring of DSP operation (code instrumentation).
