Description

This prototyping development board plugs into a number of Texas Instruments DSP development systems. This prototyping board provides an elegant and economical solution for prototyping circuits directly on the Texas Instruments DSK and EVM DSP development systems. It is a full size, 6-layer board, complete with two mounted expansion memory and peripheral connectors. These connectors plug into the two expansion memory and peripheral connectors on the TI development systems listed (below) and provide access to all 160 pins on these connectors. A model is available with stacking connectors (shown in the photo below) that allow a multi-level, multi-board prototype to be constructed. The +5V and +3.3V supply voltages, and ground each reside on their own internal plane. With the addition of suitable filter and decoupling capacitors, this system provides designers new possibilities in developing the high speed circuits typically found in DSP hardware design.
