Description

This prototyping development board is designed to plug into those TI and Spectrum Digital DSK and EVM DSP Development Systems, such as the C5416 DSK, the C5510 DSK and the C6416 TEB, that have a third connector labeled "Host Port Interface" in addition to the "External Peripheral Interface" and "External Memory Interface" connectors. The board provides access to all 240 pins on these three connectors. ProtoPlus-3 provides an elegant and economical solution for prototyping circuits directly on the development system. It is a full size, 6-layer board, complete with three expansion connectors. A model is available with stacking connectors that allows a multi-level, multi-board prototype to be constructed. Ground, +/-12, 5V, and 3.3V each reside on their own internal plane. With the addition of suitable filter and decoupling capacitors, this system provides designers new possibilities in developing the high speed circuits typically found in DSP hardware design.
