Description
The Vision-Eye Video Server Package (VE-4000HCI-VSP) bundles the DS-4000HCI H.264 PCI encoders with the new Video Server Software (VSS), which includes PC-DVR function; flexible event management; video over HTTP; pan, tilt and zoom; remote control; streaming of JPEG and much more.
Powerful, state-of-the-art hardware-based H.264 video encoding, with OggVorbis audio resulting in smaller file sizes, lower network bandwidth usage and better-quality footage than older technologies such as MPEG2 and MPEG4.
Fully-configurable motion-detect recording with multiple detection zones, adjustable sensitivity and day/night motion compensation.
Fully configurable recording and streaming properties. Choose from ultra-low-bandwidth QCIF (176x288) video, right up to high-quality, full-motion (25fps PAL/30fps NTSC), full D1 (704x576) quality video at up to 4Mb/sec. All cameras can be configured to record at one rate, stream across a network at another, and provide motion-jpeg images simultaneously.
A flexible event-management system allows you to configure any number of actions to take place whenever a pre-determined event occurs. Send e-mail containing JPEG snapshots or video/audio footage, play sounds or music files, or run programs whenever a given event occurs.
Integrated biometric support. Log on to the server using fingerprint authentication. USB fingerprint devices from Digent and Suprema are currently supported.
Integrated web-server. Manage your DVR Server remotely from any computer with a web-browser. View live or recorded video from Internet Explorer using ActiveX technology, or view live motion-jpeg video from any platform (Mac OS X, Mozilla Firefox under Windows and Linux, Internet Explorer under Windows).
Unique Video-over-HTTP facility. Using our freely-distributable ActiveX control for Internet Explorer, live video can be streamed over a standard HTTP connection. This allows seamless video transport across the vast majority of corporate firewalls and proxy servers without invoking complex configuration issues.
Integrated CD and DVD burning engine. A CD or DVD can be created with four clicks of the mouse, entirely from within the server application ready for playback on any Windows PC.
Full computer-controlled support for Pan, Tilt and Zoom cameras using standard RS232, RS422 or RS485 protocols.
Control hard disk consumption and storage across up to 8 separate hard disk partitions or network drives. Specify whether to stop recording, or automatically overwrite oldest stored footage when a disk becomes full or reaches a pre-determined volume.
VisionEye Viewer for Windows Mobile allows you to remotely view video, and monitor and control any internet-connected PC-DVR server (static or mobile) from your Windows Mobile phone.
Features include:-
View live video from any camera on the DVR using a custom designed codec specially optimised for mobile phones.
Remotely control pan and tilt cameras in real time using your phone's joypad, whilst viewing video.
Monitor various aspects of the DVR status in realtime. See which cameras are providing a video signal and which aren't, and monitor the disk/recording status of the DVR.
Track a DVR. Using the GPS technology built into most Windows Mobile phones, you can remotely track the position of remote DVR using a simple distance from target and direction of target display, or display a street map showing the current location of the DVR.
A demonstration video, showing the main features of the PC-DVR Viewer for Windows Mobile is available here. You will need a device running Windows Mobile 5 or later, with Microsoft's .NET Compact Framework v3.5 or later installed.
